The Back Story<\/span><\/h2>The <\/span>Canton of Stormwall<\/span> is completely surrounded on three sides by the <\/span>Kingdom of Meridies<\/span>. It is logical that the Meridians would make their incursion into Atlantia through this sleepy canton nestled in the mountains. It could take weeks before news of this invasion would reach the ears of the Atlantian Crown and a kingdom wide alarm is raised. <\/span>Stormwall <\/span>must rely on their brethren from <\/span>Hawkwood<\/span> and their cousins from <\/span>Sacred Stone<\/span> and <\/span>Nottinghill Coill<\/span> if the invaders are to be slowed or dare we hope,  repelled.        As customary with the Royal \r\nArchery competition, there will \r\nbe a 16-person shoot-off at \r\nthe end to announce the \r\nRoyal Archer Champion.       Holiday Market is a hybrid public\/private event held in partnership with Mountain Rubn Winery.<\/div>

      From 12:00-5:00 pm SCA members and vendors will conduct a demonstration and market open to the public free of charge. The public can take classes and view demonstrations\/displays that include archery, thrown weapons, youth combat, arts, sciences, and games. There will be a Halloween-themed costume contest. Food trucks will be on site.<\/div>

      At 5:00 the site will be closed to the public for a private SCA event. SCA members, vendors, and non-members who pay the site fee are welcome to stay for a night of revelry. A court and medievel-themed costume contest will begin the evening.       By the fifteenth century, these celebrations had fused into a distinctive blend of formality and fun. Daytime brought courtly pomp, displays of skill, and structured ceremony, while nightfall ushered in feasting, dancing, and masked revelry. This balance of order and exuberance provides the perfect setting for Atlantia\u2019s Twelfth Night, offering a full day of pageantry and arts followed by an evening devoted to celebration, community, and unapologetic joy.<\/div><\/div>\r\n
      During this time, the days surrounding Twelfth Night marked the end of the winter holiday season and the gradual shift toward spring. Communities gathered for pageantry, symbolic acts of renewal, and public festivities that reflected both reflection and anticipation.
