L<\/span>ast year the rumors of war were proven to be false. While the enemy did not appear on the horizon, the Atlantian Army, small as it was, was ready to defend our lands and hold off the invaders until the entire kingdom could be mustered and brought to bare. <\/span><\/div>
This time it's for real! We know the rumors to be true and the Meridians are coming!<\/span><\/div>

The Back Story<\/span><\/h2>The <\/span>Canton of Stormwall<\/span> is completely surrounded on three sides by the <\/span>Kingdom of Meridies<\/span>. It is logical that the Meridians would make their incursion into Atlantia through this sleepy canton nestled in the mountains. It could take weeks before news of this invasion would reach the ears of the Atlantian Crown and a kingdom wide alarm is raised. <\/span>Stormwall <\/span>must rely on their brethren from <\/span>Hawkwood<\/span> and their cousins from <\/span>Sacred Stone<\/span> and <\/span>Nottinghill Coill<\/span> if the invaders are to be slowed or dare we hope,  repelled.       A prize will be given \r\nto someone that can guess \r\nthe theme of the shoot and \r\nwhere these creatures came \r\nfrom and can be won by non-\r\narchers as well. There will be \r\nlots of other prizes to be won \r\nas well by the archers. The \r\ntop rank of each royal round \r\nclass will have a medal that \r\nthey can take home with \r\nthem, it will need to be \r\nreturned for the following year. Additional prizes will be announced later.<\/div>

       As customary with the Royal \r\nArchery competition, there will \r\nbe a 16-person shoot-off at \r\nthe end to announce the \r\nRoyal Archer Champion. You may find yourself learning arts long lost to time, trading tokens from another realm, unearthing forgotten tales by firelight, or discovering the rituals of undiscovered lands. Will you walk among the traders of forgotten civilizations? Carry home a relic from another age? Or leave changed, haunted by whispers of those who once stood in your place?<\/div><\/div>

      Holiday Market is a hybrid public\/private event held in partnership with Mountain Rubn Winery.<\/div>

      <\/div>
      From 12:00-5:00 pm SCA members and vendors will conduct a demonstration and market open to the public free of charge. The public can take classes and view demonstrations\/displays that include archery, thrown weapons, youth combat, arts, sciences, and games. There will be a Halloween-themed costume contest. Food trucks will be on site.<\/div>
